Home owner checklist for every season

Seasonal Checklist

Get your home ready for WINTER!

  • Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors Test devices twice per year to ensure they are functioning properly. Current building code requires smoke detectors in every bedroom, outside the sleeping area, on every floor, and when one sounds an alarm they all must sound alarms. Replace batteries annually.
  • Garage Review the door for damage, ensure proper operation of the sensors, lubricate hinges before winter.
  • Water Hoses Due to our cold weather, you must remove hoses from the exterior faucets. Not removing the faucets may cause the pipes inside the home to rupture.
